Lightweight, High Strength

Density of 1.5–2.0 g/cm³, approximately one-quarter that of steel, while longitudinal tensile strength can exceed 200 MPa, providing a higher strength-to-weight ratio than conventional carbon steel.

Corrosion Resistance

Resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, and most organic solvents, eliminating the need for additional anti-corrosion coatings required for steel pipes and significantly reducing long-term maintenance costs in chemical processing environments.

Electrical Insulation

Volume resistivity ≥10¹³ Ω·cm. Non-conductive and non-magnetic, making it suitable for various power and electrical applications.

Dimensional Stability

Pultrusion provides high cross-sectional dimensional accuracy and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than plastic pipes, preventing deformation and warping during long-term use.

Smooth Inner Surface

A roughness coefficient of approximately 0.0084 reduces fluid resistance and minimizes scaling. For the same flow rate, a smaller pipe diameter can be used compared with steel pipes.

Note: Hollow tubes are suitable for most standard applications, offering cost advantages and easy handling during installation and transportation. Solid tubes are better suited for applications requiring high localized compressive loads and a solid cross-section, such as insulated operating rods and load-bearing core materials for concentrated loads.

FAQ

Hollow tubes offer better cost-effectiveness at the same outer diameter and are suitable for standard supports, guardrails, and moderate-load applications. Solid tubes are recommended for high concentrated loads and applications subject to significant impact.

The main difference is the fiber orientation. Pultruded tubes have fibers aligned along the axial direction, providing excellent longitudinal tensile strength and high dimensional accuracy. Filament-wound tubes offer better circumferential performance and are commonly used for pressure pipes and liners. The two processes are suited to different applications.

Yes. Outside diameter, wall thickness, and cut length can be customized. Standard dies are available for round, square, and rectangular tubes. Special cross-sections can be customized with a dedicated die upon request.

Prolonged outdoor exposure may cause slight surface fading. With a weather-resistant formulation and UV protection, the reduction in mechanical properties is minimal, significantly extending the service life of the tubes in outdoor applications.

Chemical resistance depends on the type and concentration of the medium, as well as the operating temperature. You can provide the operating conditions, and we will select the most suitable tube material based on the appropriate resin system and corrosion-resistance requirements.

Flame-retardant fiberglass tubes can be produced with a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of ≥28 and can meet the GB/T 2408 V-0 flame-retardant rating. Relevant test reports can be provided.

For standard pultruded fiberglass tubes, the outside diameter tolerance is ±0.3 mm and the wall thickness tolerance is ±0.2 mm. Higher-precision requirements can be discussed in advance, with the production process adjusted accordingly.
