What Is an FRP Rebar Machine?
An FRP rebar production line is specialized equipment designed for the continuous production of FRP/GFRP rebars.Unlike traditional steel rebar manufacturing processes, FRP rebars use fiberglass as the reinforcing material and are formed into a continuous composite structure through resin impregnation and the pultrusion process. The equipment ensures consistent cross-sectional dimensions and uniform surface quality, making it suitable for high-volume production of FRP rebars in various specifications.
A complete FRP rebar production line typically consists of:
Working Principle of an FRP Rebar Machine
The FRP rebar production equipment forms products through a continuous pultrusion process. The entire production line operates continuously to improve production efficiency and ensure product consistency and stability.
Main Production Process:
Fiberglass Roving Pay-off
Continuous fiberglass rovings are fed into the production system through the pay-off rack, where they are arranged and guided according to the product design requirements.
Resin Impregnation
The fiberglass rovings pass through the resin bath, where the appropriate resin system is selected according to the operating conditions. The fibers are fully impregnated with resin to achieve excellent reinforcement performance.
Pultrusion Forming and Curing
The resin-impregnated fibers enter the specially designed pultrusion die, where the heating system completes the forming and curing process, allowing the FRP rebar to achieve a stable composite structure.
Pulling and Output
The pulling system provides consistent traction force, enabling the product to move continuously through the production line while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
Surface Treatment and Cutting
The FRP rebar can be processed with sand coating or directly formed with a ribbed surface to improve the bonding performance between the rebar and concrete. The finished rebars are automatically cut to the preset lengths.
